Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: January 1, 2026

This page explains your rights to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), and other US states. Contact Kit honors these rights for any resident of these states, regardless of where you are located at the time of your request.

How Contact Kit Uses Business Contact Data

Contact Kit operates a business-to-business (B2B) contact data service. We source, verify, and deliver professional contact information - names, job titles, business email addresses, direct-dial phone numbers, and company affiliations - to customers who use this data for legitimate sales, marketing, recruiting, and research purposes. Under CCPA/CPRA, sharing or selling this data for monetary or other valuable consideration may constitute a "sale" or "share," even when the data is strictly business-context.

Your Right to Opt Out

You have the right to direct Contact Kit not to sell or share your personal information. This right applies whether or not we have previously sold or shared that information. Once you exercise this right, we will suppress your record in our database and block any future inclusion in lists delivered to customers. We honor opt-out requests within 15 business days of receipt and will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.

How to Submit a Request

Submit your opt-out request by emailing privacy@contactkit.io with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share Request". Include:

  • Your full name as it would appear on a business contact record
  • Your business email address (and any alternates)
  • Your current or most recent employer
  • Your state of residence (for verification under the applicable law)
  • Optional: any phone numbers or additional identifiers you want suppressed

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf; we will require written authorization signed by you before processing.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) Signals

Contact Kit recognizes browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). When our website detects a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for the device or browser from which it was sent. This applies to website analytics and on-site tracking; suppressing a record from our sourcing database requires the email-based request described above, because that database is not keyed to a browser fingerprint.

Additional Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and appeal a denied request. These rights are described in full in our Privacy Policy. The opt-out right on this page is one of several rights available to you.
